Kanye West released a new single, 'Only One' (a tribute to his mother) featuring English musician and songwriter Paul McCartney. Well, the Twitter kids clapped back with "Who is Paul McCartney?" Of course, it is not the first-time social media reacts in a friendly reminder fashion of WIPM (Who Is Paul McCartney). In 2012, folks asked the same question after Paul McCartney's performance at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

Is it a big joke, can these kids visit Uncle Stevie (Wonder) and have him play 'Ebony and Ivory'. I might be the only one thinking the collaborative duo of Kanye and Paul reminds me of the masterminds of creative art and passion, between Michael Jackson
Did Paul McCartney just eat his words? Back in November, Paul McCartney discussed 'Hope for the Future' with Lily Cole and Impossible.com Songwriting Talk. Also on hand was PaulMcCartney.com, in a Q&A with fans referring to kids studying pop-music with the Beatles as the focus. "He (McCartney) went on to say we never studied anything; we just loved our popular music. I think for us, we'd have felt it would have ruined it to study it."
What I need to ask, "What is pop culture of today's generation?" Where are all those vintage T-shirts? Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Maybe Just Dance video-rhythm game will add Kanye's 'Only One' collaboration with McCartney to its dance track list. Are parents or schools not teaching kids about arts & music history? I guess technology, gadgets may have taken over family time, whereas, listening to classic hits on the record player or CD player is a once upon a time thing. Okay, let's download mp3 files or throw a browse YouTube video party! I would not be surprised if the terms "old school" or "classic hits" has turned into mush.
As I sign off I can only be inspired to ask a designer, Stella McCartney, to create and design a limited edition "Who Is Sir Paul McCartney?" T-shirt! Why not, she knows him very well as, simply as Dad! Am I to believe our young generation is only aware of The Beatles posters, "Walking Down The Street" or "Abbey Road", as four men in a group. Instead of their names, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
Who is Paul McCartney? Just ask, the 2,000+ recording artist that covered 'Yesterday', written by McCartney in the 60's!
